Experience French culture in Hangzhou with Alliance française!
Enjoying the patronage and support of other French organizations such as the French Embassy in China, the General Consulate in Shanghai and Institut Français, and working with other cultural institutions in the city as appropriate, Alliance française Hangzhou organizes and participates in major cultural events each year.
The most popular ones are Mars en folie that celebrates in March the French language and Francophone cultures with numerous cultural events, followed by the Croisements festival, a cross-cultural festival created on the joint demand of the French and Chinese Presidents in 2006, which has become the biggest foreign festival in China and, in June, the International Music Day, with French and Francophone music life shows all over the country.
A varied program of signature events is also regularly presented in our premises or in cultural places in Hangzhou and conferences, talks, art exhibitions, theater, special workshops and shows for adults and children punctuate the cultural calendar all year round.
